Terms of use
Version of October 7, 2026. This is a translation; the German version is binding.
1. What this is about
Food Plan at lunchplan.zurmuehl.info reads recipes from cookbooks, files and web pages, plans the week with them and puts the shopping together. I, Dr. Martin Zurmühl (imprint), offer Food Plan as a private individual; during the current development and test phase it is free of charge. These terms apply to everyone who has an account. How I handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
2. Account and household
- You may register yourself if you are at least 16 years old. Younger people only get an account through an invitation from their household; whoever invites them makes sure their parents agree.
- Whoever registers creates a household and is its first admin. Admins invite members, remove them and make others admins; they are responsible for whom they bring into the household.
- Everyone has their own account. Keep your password secret and do not pass on your access.
3. What you import and enter
- Only import what you lawfully have, for example from your own cookbooks, and only for private use in your household. You are responsible for what you import and enter (photos, files, links, recipes, pictures, names of collections). It must not break the law or the rights of others.
- Single recipes only, no whole books. Copying a book or a magazine essentially in full is allowed even for private use only with the consent of the rights holder (Section 53 (4) b of the German Copyright Act). This also applies to importing in the background with many photos or pages at once.
- Photograph recipes, not people, and do not import private notes or documents: whatever is on a photo or in a file, the AI reads too.
- You only give me the right to store and process your content, to have an AI model read and classify it, and to show it to your household and to the households you share it with, as far as running Food Plan requires. I do not use it for anything else.
- It is not allowed to disrupt or misuse the service: for example mass automated requests, attempts to get at other people's data, or overloading it.
4. Pictures and the rights to them
- If you confirm in Food Plan that your household holds the rights to a picture, that must be true, for example because you took it yourself. Photos of cookbook pages and pictures from web pages usually belong to others; do not confirm them.
- By confirming, you allow households that receive the picture with one of your recipes to keep it in Food Plan and share it on. You can take the confirmation back; copies others have already received stay with them.
- Food Plan shows pictures without a confirmation only when signed in, through my server.
5. Sharing with other households
- Recipes go only to befriended households: by share link, as a copy. Later changes do not travel along, and what the other household took over then belongs to it.
- Share only what you may share, and only for private use by your friends.
6. AI, allergens and nutrition: without guarantee
- An AI model reads and classifies recipes. It can be wrong: about ingredients, amounts, servings, times or the translation. Check the result before you cook or shop by it.
- Allergens, properties such as “vegan”, “vegetarian” or “gluten-free”, and nutrition values are estimates without guarantee, not a laboratory analysis and not dietary or medical advice. With allergies and intolerances, always check the ingredients and the information on the packaging yourself.
- Shelf life, shopping days and season are rules of thumb. Whether something is fresh is decided by a look at the food itself.
7. Reporting, removing, suspending
- Report illegal content to datenschutz@zurmuehl.info; the imprint says what information belongs in a report.
- I check reports myself, by hand; there is no automated detection. I only look at your recipes when something is reported to me or running the service requires it, for example to find a bug.
- If content breaks the law or these terms, I may remove it. For serious or repeated violations I may suspend or delete an account.
- If I remove or suspend something, I tell you by email what and why, unless the law forbids it. If you disagree, reply to the email; I will then review the decision again. You can still turn to courts and authorities.
8. Costs and credit
- Importing puts an AI model to work, which costs a few cents per recipe. During the current development and test phase I bear these costs; each household has a monthly budget for it. When it is used up, importing continues next month; everything else keeps working.
- Credit to top up is not yet available to all households. Before it comes, separate terms apply to it, which you agree to beforehand.
9. Bring! and Shopping List
If you wish, Food Plan sends shopping to Bring! or to Shopping List. Bring! is a service of Bring! Labs AG; its terms apply to it. Shopping List has its own terms of use. I cannot promise that these services are reachable and accept everything.
10. Availability and changes to Food Plan
- There is no claim that Food Plan is always reachable or keeps particular features. I try to run it reliably and back up the data every night.
- If I shut Food Plan down, I announce it in the app at least four weeks in advance. Until then you can download your data (Settings → My account).
11. Liability
- I am liable under the law for intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act.
- Beyond that I am not liable, as far as the law permits; Food Plan is free of charge.
- The backup runs every night. What was added since the last backup can be lost in an outage.
12. Ending
- You can delete your account at any time (Settings → My account), admins the whole household (Settings → Household). You can download your data beforehand.
- I can terminate an account with four weeks' notice, or immediately for good cause, such as serious violations under section 7.
13. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the app shows it, lists what changed since you agreed, and asks for your consent. Until you agree, the previous terms apply to you. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
14. Law
German law applies. If you live as a consumer in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of your country.
